We run regular health campaigns to increase awareness, encourage conversation and improve vigilance around specific issues. During these campaigns we distribute detailed information around one specific issue to all workers, ensuring that we keep information current, informative and engaging at all times.

HEALTH CAMPAIGNS

PROSTATE CANCER UK

We coordinate our health campaigns with larger-scale national awareness campaigns—one example is our recent prostate cancer awareness drive which was run alongside a national drive by Prostate Cancer UK.

HILTI & DUST CAMPAIGNS

Construction dust can pose a number of challenges to the health of machine operators and other on-site workers, and many people are completely unaware of the risks. Silicosis, a lung condition that can be caused by breathing in construction dust, is a particular long-term risk that is often not thought about due to its lack of immediacy. 

Hilti are challenging on-site workers’ attitudes towards conditions caused by construction dust inhalation, running a number of workshops across all projects and incorporating their awareness videos into the Mount Anvil Tool Box Talks that are regularly delivered to sites.

HEALTH AWARENESS

EXTERNAL COMPANIES

We also regularly work in partnership with external companies to improve health and nutrition awareness across Mount Anvil. Recent partnerships include a campaign to lower cholesterol run with Flora ProActiv and Benecol, and a Propercorn-backed drive to encourage healthier eating between meals.

These partnerships help to demonstrate Mount Anvil’s sector-leading commitment to our people’s health and wellbeing.

HEALTH AWARENESS

Other campaigns have included drives to encourage reduced salt intake, a move to healthier snack and meal options, and sun awareness. We’ll be running a larger-scale sun awareness campaign at the beginning of summer.
